When CCI groups rejoined the FIGC designed two interregional divisions renaming Categories into Divisions and splitting FIGC sections into two north–south leagues. In 1926, as a consequence of internal crises and fascist pressures, the FIGC altered internal settings, adding southern groups for the nationwide division, finally bringing about the 1
